Terri Baskerville is the Founder, Presidnet of Helping Hands For Single Parents. Helping Hands For Single Parents non-profit organization was birthed in 2015, after 2 years battling with this an on going struggle between me and God, repeating the cycle like Jonah running away from God’s assignment for my life. So I started the organization with the simple idea, to have everything in order specifically for single mothers.
Helping Hands for Single Parents is a non-profit organization committed to single parents breaking the cycle and to help build resource connections for families that help them to become more productive, more resourceful and more informed on how to be the best parent they can be for their children.
FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS…
We also understand the financial challenges they go through. And through experience I was a single mom at the age of fifteen and had to go to school and work and continue to be a mother. Not having the encouragement and the push and drive to take to your next level can be very hard mantle to carry.
HERE’S WHAT I BELIEVE NOW…
Our goals are to create a safe, non-judgmental environment for single mothers to connect, raise community awareness of single parents’ unique challenges and the impact those challenges have on society at large and South Carolina in particular, set single parents on a successful path toward financial, emotional and psychological self-sufficiency, create a platform for single parents to voice their challenges, needs, and concerns.
